Reporting to the Senior Director Regional Media Operational and Strategic Planning you play a pivotal role in regulatory compliance internal communications and the operational management of special projects. Acting as a key strategic point of contact you liaise between regional teams regulatory affairs and internal partners to ensure operational excellence and enhance the visibility and impact of regional content.
We are looking for a strong relationship-builder who thrives in a team environment demonstrates excellent organizational skills shows initiative and exercises sound judgment to effectively prioritize and make day-to-day decisions.
Key responsibilities:
Regulatory Affairs and Compliance:
CRTC Monitoring: extract and analyze radio local and regional content monitoring data. Follow up with Regulatory Affairs teams and the regions concerned.
Access to Information: centralize access-to-information requests ensure receipt and coordinate rigorous follow-ups with regional management teams.
OLMC (Official Language Minority Communities): support the preparation of reports and consultations in close collaboration with the Regulatory Affairs department. Maintain relationships with relevant community associations.
Records Management: audit current archival practices (LiveLink) produce a recommendations report based on corporate best practices and design a new optimized archiving process for the sector.
Project Coordination and Outreach:
Short-Form Content Focus: coordinate calls for interest oversee the pre-selection of short films and act as a liaison between creators internal teams and business relations.
Awards and Distinctions: lead the submission calendar for Gémeaux Awards and various journalism awards across all regions.
EDI (Equity Diversity and Inclusion): represent regional interests and realities on the organizations EDI action committee.
Communications and Programming:
Internal Newsletter: manage the full publication cycle (writing layout and scheduling coordination). Analyze engagement metrics to optimize employee engagement.
Programming Schedules: ensure proper documentation and smooth communication between regional radio/television schedules and the national network schedule.
Your profile:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Communications Administration Law Information Management or related discipline)
Five (5) years of relevant experience in project coordination ideally in the media sector or a highly regulated environment. Any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent will be considered
Excellent command of French both written and spoken; knowledge of English is a strong asset for regulatory files
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously under tight deadlines
Excellent writing skills
Good knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada its mandate and its policies
Proficiency in Word Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated leadership and team spirit
Availability to work outside regular business hours on occasion
