The Faculty of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time Prosthodontics faculty member in the Department of Oral Health Sciences at UBC. This tenure-stream appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor with consideration of a higher rank depending on qualifications. Applicants must have completed postgraduate training in prosthodontics and must be a licensed (or eligible) with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP) as a dental specialist in Prosthodontics or eligible for specialty licensure (completed training in a North American accredited program or completed a Canadian Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program).

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate research excellence in prosthodontics and willingness to contribute service to the University and community. Preference will be given to individuals whose program of research will contribute to improved oral health of British Columbians and will enhance existing research at UBC. Service to the university and the community is also an expectation.

The successful candidate will contribute extensively to teaching in the undergraduate DMD and BSc Dental Hygiene programs and in the combined Diploma in Prosthodontics/MSc/PhD in Craniofacial Science graduate programs. Development of a robust research program and supervision of UBC graduate student research is also expected. He/she will build trust through an open respectful and collegial approach and will be an eager collaborator who is able to work in a highly interactive and productive manner with faculty staff and students across the Department Faculty and the University.

The successful candidate will hold a full-time faculty appointment at UBC with salary rank and appointment status commensurate with qualifications and experience. The expected starting salary for this position is $170000 per annum.
