Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Metallurgy Technician whose primary responsibility is to perform routine metallurgical mechanical failure corrosion testing facilitating metallurgy operations at site or at a laboratory.
Salary: $26- $28/hr DOE
Responsibilities
- Review specifications and customer paperwork to ensure testing is set up correctly
- Perform standard and non-standard metallurgical evaluations (castings grain size recast microstructure analysis microhardness corrosion testing etc.)
- Communicate with clients on matters of concern/interest
- Prepare and review customer reports
Skills / Qualifications
- Bachelors (B.S.) degree in Metallurgy or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience working in a laboratory in the field of metallurgy testing
- Good knowledge of interpreting specifications
- Good report writing skill
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated team-player with excellent organizational and communication skills
