Job Description
The Deputy Head of Tech UK will possess excellent leadership skills as well as a strong technical background covering a wide range of disciplines and a proven record in operational activities and management. The role will focus on both deputising for the Head of Tech UK as well as managing local operations within the Tech UK department.
The Postcode Lottery Group is on an exciting digital transformation journey. While the Head of Tech plays a key role in this programme and its delivery the Deputy will focus mainly on local day to day operations including Incident Management. The UK is the first market within our Group to adopt the new technology ecosystem as part of the programme so its a really exciting time to join. This role is not formally part of the programme structure but will be responsible for managing operational changes that occur as a result of the programme. Youll also work closely with international counterparts in our sister lotteries as the programme grows and extends to other markets.
Your key responsibilities
- Leads with integrity ensuring the Postcode Lotterys culture and values remain central to decision making and delivery.
- Sets a high standard of operational excellence ensuring flawless draws a stable lottery train and all delivery outcomes including overseeing Incident Management across the department.
- Drives local alignment with the group standards and processes that will be adopted by all markets.
- Manages operational teams within the Group Tech UK department including End User Computing Cyber Security Service Management Process Control and Data Selections.
- Supports and deputises for the Head of Tech in all local and operational activities working with them to define the local strategy and objectives.
- Champions inclusion and diversity in the department and supports the established Diversity in Tech group.
Your qualities:
- Youre a team player with an enthusiastic proactive attitude.
- You have extensive experience in a technical leadership role and are able to motivate and guide teams through operational change.
- You have a proven track record of maintaining performance delivering change and creating space for the team to innovate.
- You have a strong focus on Service Delivery and Incident Management with excellent communication and organisational skills and are able to communicate well with a variety of stakeholders.
