Job Summary
Service Engineer diagnoses repairs installs and maintains technical equipment and machinery for customers ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. They provide on-site or remote technical support conduct preventative maintenance train users and maintain service records. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting managing and repairing electrical or mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance troubleshoot issues and repair equipment to ensure efficiency.
Installation: Install calibrate and commission new machinery at client sites.
Customer Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact offering on-site or remote support and training customers on safe equipment operation.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of service calls repairs and maintenance activities.
Technical Advice: Offer recommendations for product improvements upgrades and spare parts inventory management.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with company and government safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical or related field) or relevant technical certification.
Experience: Prior experience in service engineering field service or technical support roles.
Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic troubleshooting and repair abilities with mechanical or electrical systems.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication interpersonal and customer service skills.
Physical/Logistical: Ability to travel to client sites and work in industrial environments.
