Job Summary
Assistant Manager Medical Coder (Coding Reconsideration & Appeals)
Location: Infopark Kakkanad Kochi (Ernakulam)
Shift: Night Shift (6:00 PM 3:00 AM)
Work Schedule: 5 Days a Week (Saturday & Sunday Fixed Off)
Transport: Doorstep Pick-up & Drop Facility (Within Ernakulam)

- Manage and supervise teams reviewing denied claims and service requests.
- Ensure accurate retrospective medical necessity reviews based on coding and reimbursement logic
- Oversee analysis of medical records clinical notes and supporting documentation
- Ensure services are evaluated in line with clinical policies and guidelines
- Review and validate clinical summaries prepared for medical doctor review
- Monitor navigation across multiple systems for clinical and claims data accuracy
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory accreditation and compliance standards
- Drive productivity and quality performance across the team
- Handle team shrinkage and attrition including staffing backups and retention plans
- Coach mentor and conduct regular performance reviews and quality feedback
- Act as the escalation point for complex cases and delivery issues
Requirements
- 5 years of hands-on Medical Coding experience
- 2 years of Team Handling / People Management experience
- Strong exposure to Coding Reconsideration & Appeals / Denials Management
- Proven experience managing shrinkage and attrition in operations teams
- Solid understanding of medical necessity coding and reimbursement logic
- Knowledge of US Healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Strong leadership communication and analytical skills
- Ability to manage night-shift operations effectively

Required Skills:
