Job Summary

Electrical (OHL / SS)

Design analyze and optimize overhead line and substation electrical systems in compliance with national and international standards.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new OHL and SS installations or upgrades.
Prepare detailed technical drawings specifications and engineering calculations using industry-standard software.
Collaborate with project managers contractors and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and compliant project execution.
Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for electrical safety and system reliability.
Support commissioning testing and handover activities for completed electrical installations.
Maintain accurate documentation and as-built records for all electrical systems.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in OHL and substation design preferably in power transmission or distribution projects.
Proficiency in engineering software such as ETAP PSCAD AutoCAD or similar tools.
Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g. IEC IEEE NESC or local equivalents).
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid professional engineering license or eligibility for licensure is highly desirable.
