The Day Camp Cleaner plays an integral role in ensuring camp spaces are clean and ready for programming. Responsible for light to heavy duty cleaning of all buildings including washrooms classrooms corridors and staff areas.
In this role you will:
- Clean classrooms corridors gymnasiums programming and staff areas by wiping surfaces dusting vacuuming carpets and upholstery and sweeping and mopping floors. Remove and dispose of all garbage
- Clean washrooms including sinks toilets countertops and mirrors and mop floors. Restock all toiletries and paper products. Remove and dispose of all garbage
- Report and store lost and found items
- Perform other duties as assigned
You bring:
- Experience working in an industrial/commercial cleaning environment including using cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Knowledge of WHMIS
- Physical ability to conduct light to heavy duty cleaning including lifting
- Demonstrated ability to work with reduced supervision and as a member of a team to prioritize and complete tasks
- Excellent written communication skills
- Available to work flexible hours including evenings
- Commitment to diversity equity inclusion and building a sense of belonging
