As a Solution Architect you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering robust scalable and secure payment solutions.Youllwork closely with both internal teams and external clients translating business needs into end-to-end technical designs that balance innovation practicality and regulatory compliance.

We are looking fora candidatethat can combinedeep technicalexpertisewithstrong client-facing skills ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating with customers to understand their requirements designing solutions that meet their goals and guiding them through technical delivery.Youwill need to havea minimum of8years of experience ideally split across software engineering and architectureto be considered forthisrole.

Key Responsibilities:

Design scalable secure and compliant payment solutions across card processing payments and open banking.

Engage directly with external clients to understand their business and technical needs translate them intofeasiblearchitectures and present solution proposals.

Collaborate with product engineering and compliance teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.

Participate inclient solution workshops technical discovery sessions and architecture reviews.

Evaluate andsolution forthird-party APIs and payment gateways ensuring interoperability resilience and compliance.

Develop andmaintainarchitecture documentation diagrams and standards (e.g. APIs microservices cloud infrastructure).

Provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle ensuring solutions are implemented according to architectural principles and industry best practices.

Ensure compliance with PSD2 FCA regulations PCI-DSS and other relevant standards.

Support pre-sales activities including responding to RFPs and providing technical input on client proposals.

You should apply if you have:

Proven experienceas a Solution Architect orSoftwareArchitect ideally in a fintech or payments environment.

Experience working directly with external clients or partners in a technical or pre-sales capacity.

Strong understanding of payments infrastructure including cardacquiring open banking faster payments settlement and reconciliation.

Hands-on experience with cloud-nativeand cloud agnosticarchitectures (AWS Azure or GCP).

Expertisein API design microservices and event-driven systems.

Familiarity with security and compliance requirements in financial services (e.g. encryption PCI-DSS).

Strong communicationand presentation skills able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

Experience working within agile DevOps or product-driven environments.

Desirableadditionalrequirements:

Previousexperience in a start-up or scale-up fintech.

Exposure to ISO 20022 Open Banking APIs or card scheme integrations.

Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform CloudFormation).

Background in software engineering (e.g. JavaGolangKotlin Python).

Experience supporting sales or business development teams with technical input.
