• Activities directly involved in maneuvering routing and tracking transport vehicles aircraft or railroad cars.
  
• Plan organize and manage subordinates to ensure work is completed and meets company standards.
  
• Conduct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints.
  
• Collaborate with staff to develop and implement procedures related to transportation as well as company revenue and customer service goals.
  
• Organize periodic repair and maintenance of means of transport.
  
• Complying with transportation-related policies as well as safety rules union contracts and government regulations.
  
• Promoting safe work activities by conducting safety audits and attending company safety meetings.
  
• Making sure vehicles are properly maintained

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a transportation manager shipping director or similar roles
  
• Solid knowledge of supply chain management
  
• Experience in order picking and tracking
  
• Familiarity familiar with logistics software such as Freight view and 3PLink
  
• Excellent organizational skills
  
• Employee training and supervision skills
  
• Problem solving ability
  
• High school diploma
