Project Engineer

By applying our expertise to project design and installation we help our customers to better understand effective project design and control installation costs. We also make sure they understand all long-term costs involved.

This individual will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager with planning and coordinating activities in the construction schedule. They will help with organization scheduling and implementation. This individual must have the ability to support the Project Manager in resolving field problems as they arise. It is the responsibility of the Project Engineer to oversee and maintain an effective document control system. #penguin

Include the following. Other duties will likely be assigned.

• Support Project Manager in driving a projects overall flow effectively from inception to completion.
• Coordinate project documentation from bid to closeout.
• Review and check submittals shop drawings equipment data material samples and/or manufacturers for compliance with contract drawings.
• Maintain logs and supervise RFIs Daily Reports and Submittals.
• Collaborate with subcontractors regarding project needs.
• Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Project Manager with recommendation for resolution.
• Comply with all Company operating policies procedures and safety programs as established.
• Perform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the company or as directed by executives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 years related experience in mechanical or construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and documentation is preferred.
• Pursuing Bachelor of Science with an engineering or construction management focus is preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal state and city regulations and guidelines preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook Word and Excel)

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and other technical or construction programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with project management/document control software is preferred.

Compensation Range: $66300 - $80000 a year

Other Compensation: For example indicate if the position is bonus or commission eligible
