As an Architectural Planning Senior Specialist youll turn business and design strategies into clear accurate architectural plans that shape every Best Buy store experience. Youll be the person teams count on to bring order precision and consistency to complex projects. This includes translating ideas into drawings that meet our standards local codes and realworld site conditions. If you love solving problems through thoughtful design and enjoy collaborating with people who rely on your expertise this role is a great fit.
This role is hybrid which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield Minnesota and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. What youll do
- Create and maintain highquality floor plans and construction documents that meet Best Buy standards and local codes
- Translate design directives and merchant strategies into accurate sitespecific architectural solutions
- Apply established prototypes and standards to ensure consistency across all projects
- Partner with internal teams and external consultants to coordinate fully aligned documentation
- Manage updates and ensure accuracy across multiple projects and evolving site conditions
- Troubleshoot sitespecific issues such as code requirements structural constraints and layout challenges
Basic qualifications
- 3 years of experience in design planning architecture engineering or related fields
- 3 years of experience producing drawings in AutoCAD
Preferred qualifications
- Associate or bachelors degree in architecture drafting or related field
- 1 year of retail experience supporting crossfunctional teams
- Proficiency with Revit Procore Blue Yonder and Bluebeam Revu
