Description
This contract position is on-site providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality emergency care to patients. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to assess diagnose and manage a wide range of acute medical conditions. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and the overall efficiency of our emergency department.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in an emergency department setting
- Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results
- Stabilize and manage acute medical conditions
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff for optimal patient care
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and regulations
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine or equivalent
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Experience in an emergency medicine setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
Schedule: 8 9 or 10-hour shifts
Annual Volume: 40k patients
Patient Census: 10-12 per shift
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
