Job Summary
Overview
Commercial Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods materials or equipment using commercial vehicles. This role plays a critical part in daily operations by ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently safely and in compliance with all transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Route Planning & Transportation
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods according to assigned routes schedules and delivery requirements.
Loading & Unloading
- Load secure and unload cargo while ensuring proper weight distribution and compliance with safety standards.
Vehicle Operation & Inspection
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate driver logs delivery paperwork and electronic records as required by DOT regulations.
Customer & Site Interaction
- Communicate professionally with customers dispatchers and site personnel during deliveries and pickups.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures traffic laws and DOT regulations to maintain a safe driving record.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous commercial driving experience preferred
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A or B (as applicable)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and secure cargo as required
