OurProduct Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)is one of the most innovative divisions within PSLD as within all of Caterpillar our priority is ourcustomers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly everyelement of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts DistributionofCat Parts Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities technology and operational excellence.

The Service Training Consultant will develop coordinate and deliver comprehensive training solutions which involve proficiently using and maintaining training aids and lab equipment. The consultant will also collaborate with product groups to create instructor-led training (ILTs) and web-based training (WBTs) on various technologies. Actively involved in promoting optimizing training resource utilization and driving technological adoption ensuring that training initiatives are consistently aligned with organizational goals and standards.

What You Will Do:

Conduct Cat Technology Training:

Deliver hands-on and theoretical training for various Cat Technologies (Grade Control Remote Control Autonomy etc.) to dealers and Customers

Collaborate with dealers customers DLCs and the worldwide technology instructor team to lead the coordination of training events

Ensure participants understand the operating principles maintenance/ repair requirements and best practices for each technology

Guide participants in system diagnostics troubleshooting and optimization

Learning Solutions Development:

Lead the development of customized training solutions in partnership with the machine & technology product groups

Ensure that learning materials are up to date with the latest machine models technologies and system enhancements

Develop both instructor led and e-learning content tailored to meet various learner needs

What You Will Have (Basic Requirements):

Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Consulting: Knowledge of techniques roles and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients vendors and peers.

Preferred Qualifications/ Top Candidates will also have:

Extensive experience installing and troubleshooting Cat technologies such as Grade Control Remote Control and Autonomy

Delivering training on complex topics to dealers customers or internal audiences

Associates degree in a technical field or Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical lieu of degree 5 years technical experience with Cat technologies

Working knowledge of Caterpillar Systems such as SIS PRWB VisionLink E.T. etc.

Familiar using Adobe InDesign Illustrator and 3D Mockup and SAP 3D software

Mining and or Construction Industry product application experience

Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program (CIAP)

Proven ability to adjust and effectively train multi-cultural audiences

Positive attitude of responsibility safety and keeping standards high

Passionate about people development

Spanish or other language capabilities are a plus
