About The Work Unit:
The Office of Human Resources (OHR) exists to serve the Department of Public Health and Environment through the classification and selection process education and enforcement of State Personnel Board Rules and Personnel Directors Administrative Procedures and State Statute related to the management of Human Resources. The purpose of the OHR work unit is to provide professional educational administrative and clerical support services to internal and external customers of the Department of Public Health and Environment.

What You Will Be Doing:
The purpose of this Program Assistant II position is to provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support for all Professional and Organizational Development (POD) initiatives programs and projects. Serving as the Training and Tuition Reimbursement Administrator this role provides essential administrative support and customer service for the team. Responsibilities include coordinating administrative functions by managing workshop logistics supporting in-person and virtual learning and ensuring digital accessibility for eLearning courses. The role also oversees all aspects of the Tuition Reimbursement program and Training Waiver process ensuring policy compliance and providing professional guidance to employees. Additionally this position may contribute to the development implementation and facilitation of training content.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Only:

Five (5) years of relevant experience in program administration or project coordination which must include a combination of the following: managing end-to-end logistics for events or training programs; facilitating technical support for in-person virtual and/or hybrid delivery models; and utilizing digital tools (such as Google Workspace or Smartsheets) to ensure document accessibility and WCAG compliance.


OR

Education and Experience:

A combination of related education in Business Administration Office Administration Public Administration Human Resources Organizational Development Education Social Sciences Psychology or Communications and/or relevant experience in program administration or project coordination which must include a combination of the following: managing end-to-end logistics for events or training programs; facilitating technical support for in-person virtual and/or hybrid delivery models; and utilizing digital tools (such as Google Workspace or Smartsheets) to ensure document accessibility and WCAG compliance equal to five (5) years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing administrative and logistical duties within a State of Colorado classified environment (or similar public sector system) including:

    • Serving as a primary point of contact for a specific program or specialized administrative process.

    • Interpreting and explaining organizational policies rules or procedures to employees or the public.

    • Coordinating the logistical requirements for programs such as scheduling resource tracking and maintaining compliance with internal standards.

  • 2 years of experience using Google Workspace including Google Drive Meet Mail Calendar Docs Sheets Forms and Slides; Adobe tools and/or Smartsheets.

  • 2 years of experience supporting multi-modal training delivery (In-Person VILT and Hybrid). Candidates should possess a strong technical aptitude for AV troubleshooting and a mastery of collaborative digital tools (e.g. Google Meet Zoom Slido polls etc).

  • Proven experience coordinating the end-to-end logistics for diverse programs and events with a focus on meticulous resource planning and consistent project delivery.

  • Proven ability to apply WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines to identify and remediate accessibility barriers in digital documents and written content.
