Assistant Professor of Chemistry(Open Subspecialty)
The Department of Chemistry at Hendrix College invites applications for a fixed-term Assistant Professor of Chemistry position beginning in is a one-year appointment with the potential for renewal.
Thepositioncarriesa full-time teaching load of six courseequivalentsper yearwhere one course equivalentcomprises a lecture section or two lab sections. The teaching load willprimarilybefocused on the introductory-level General Chemistry sequence and associated laboratories though there maybe opportunities to teach upper-level courses in thecandidatesarea of expertise as department needs thesubspecialtyfor this position is open preference will be given to candidates withexpertisein Organic Chemistry or Collegeseeksto extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts is preferred; ABD will be considered.
