Schedule Details:$5000 sign on bonus!
This is a 0.5 FTE 2nd shift position. Hours vary between 1430-2300 and 1500-2330 based on assignment. This position will work 5 8-hour days per 2 week PP and will rotate every other weekend. Currently this role does not include holidays but this may change in the future if needed.
This position initially includes the Coagulation and Urinalysis benches. This person will later be trained in either Chemistry or Hematology based on need/preference.
All training approximately 4-5 weeks in total will be scheduled on 1st shift. Upon completion of training for coagulation/urinalysis this person will join the pm weekend rotation and remaining training will be scheduled around the weekends.

ProHealth Care offers a system-wide laboratory operation with core hospital labs at Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial as well as two clinic-based laboratory sites in Waukesha County. The laboratory performs over 8 million tests annually.
Our Lab services operate state of the art facilities and include clinical testing in the areas of Histology Cytology Hematology Coagulation Clinical Chemistry Urinalysis Immunoassay Microbiology Transfusion service EIA and Molecular Biology. ProHealth Care offers a vibrant outreach program providing laboratory testing to numerous specialty hospitals physician offices nursing home and assisted living facilities. Our Pathologists and PhDs work closely with lab employees to monitor quality as well as identify access and implement new technology. The Laboratory has certification and accreditation through the College of American Pathologists (CAP) American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).

What You Will Do:
Medical Technologists or Medical Laboratory Scientists perform moderate to high complexity testing within the Clinical Laboratory. Prepares samples for examination using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation. Performs numerous complicated tests simultaneously; accurately evaluates correlates and interprets test results.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Associates degree in MLT
- Medical Technologist (MT) or Med Lab Tech (MLT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 6 months or
- Medical Technologist (MT) or Med Lab Tech (MLT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 6 months
- Under approved circumstances an extension may be granted for an additional 6 months.
