Job Summary

The Technologist under the direction of a Cardiologist performs echocardiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision as well as other duties as assigned. This requires independent judgment ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves for a cardiographic diagnosis whether scheduled or emergent. He/she will participate in the clinical activities including call within the imaging areas of Echocardiography Surgery Mobile Unit and Nursing Units.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training and must have successfully completed a formal training program or equivalent in Echocardiography and demonstrate ability to complete competency in Echocardiography.
- Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or
- Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months of experience
