Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Compliance Management:

  • Trackand measure Schreiber EH&S performance andengagein a hands-on role to create and implement plans to improve performance.

  • Help conduct and document US Based Compliance Audits & Process Safety Management programs as required by regulatory requirements.

  • Lead Implementation of Environmental & Safety Document Control.

  • Monitors adherence to local state and federal environmental and safety regulations.

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities and equipment.

  • Identifypotential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections incidents and compliance activities.

  • Assistwith the execution of EH&S contracts (NFPADakota MSDSPPEetc.) and administrative support.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Perform job hazard analysis (JHA) toidentifyworkplace risks.

  • Complete Machine Specific Procedures (MSP) in coordination with Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program.

  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to mitigate risks.

  • Investigate workplaceincidentsand near misses to prevent future occurrences.

Training and Education:

  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for partners at all levels.

  • Communicate safety policies and procedures to partners.

  • Provide ongoing safety awareness campaigns.

  • Coordinate US based EHS Master Schedule (Annual regulatory workshops training compliance items)

Emergency Response:

  • Develop andmaintainemergency response plansand emergency actionplan.

  • Coordinate emergency drills and partner training on emergency procedures.

  • Manage emergency situationsin accordance withestablished processes.

Waste Management:

  • Oversee hazardous waste disposal procedures.

  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of hazardous materials.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work with other departments andthe SafetyCommittee toidentifyand address safety concerns.

  • Provide regular reports to management on EHS performance and compliance status.

  • Manage Global Sustainability Metrics.

  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.

  • Together with the leadership team ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits Process Control Points (PCPs)Critical Control Points (CCPs)and Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs)to define andmonitorprocesses to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are notmet anddeterminesappropriate correctiveaction for partnersfailing to followstandard procedures.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associates degree in environmental health & safetyor related fieldpreferred.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certifications preferred.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of Schreiber Process Excellence and Problem-Solving Methodologies.

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other applicable environmental and safety standards.

Skills Required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent organizational skillsestablishingpriorities multitasking and meeting deadlines.

  • Proficientcomputer skills with MicrosoftPower BI PowerPointExcel Word Outlook and Projectas well asWorkday DakotaSphera APSMCatalyst and other computer toolsasdemonstratedthrough Wonderlictesting.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentand adaptability to workany and allshifts as needed on an ongoing basis.

  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others andworktomaintainconstructive working relationships.
