They will provide support to the health office under the guidance of the school nurse to promote the health and safety of NBPS studentsResponsibilities:Assists and/or conducts with yearly DPH-Mandated screenings as directed by the school nurse (i.e. sending out notices assist with the flow of students to and from screenings conducts heights weights vision and hearing screenings following training with the nurse and health screening online training)Assists with obtaining up-to-date physicals and with school nurse on project related activities at health information data with school nurses and inputs health data into computerized health record with filing paperwork into the hard copy of the school health recordPrepares incoming and outgoing health records and maintains with inventory management and supply ordering for the health with escorting students as directed by school nurse or nursing supervisorCommunicates with parents/guardians as requested by school nursePerforms other tasks as assigned by School/District Administration School Nurse Nursing Supervisor Manager of Health ServicesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent working in the medical field certification in and protects the confidentiality of students staff and be knowledgeable on HIPAA regulations and other protective health information be self-motivated and flexible with an ability to set priorities and work with limited clerical proficiency and strong computer to accept and utilize nursing oriented and capable of handling and prioritizing multiple tasks be organized and demonstrate strong skills in both written and verbal proficient in speaking writing and engaging a diverse multi-lingual communication insight and problem solving of Employment:Reports to: Manager of Health Services or DesigneeRate: $21-$23/hourWork Year: School Year (Non-Union)
