Description
| Our clients Toronto office is seeking a highly qualified Real Estate Associate with a minimum of three years of experience in sophisticated real estate transactions.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic and globally connected practice advising on a full spectrum of matters including:- Joint ventures and large-scale development projects
- Acquisitions and dispositions of single assets and multi-property portfolios
- Real estate M&A transactions
- REIT and related corporate real estate structures
- Construction mortgage and mezzanine financings
- Structured finance transactions securitizations and loan-on-loan financings
Associates work collaboratively across offices and disciplines on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions. The role provides significant client exposure and the opportunity to work on complex high-stakes real estate matters from inception through closing.
This position offers the opportunity to build a sophisticated real estate practice within a globally recognized platform while working from Toronto.

Qualifications
| - Minimum three years of experience in complex real estate transactions at a leading law firm
- Demonstrated experience with joint ventures development projects acquisitions dispositions and real estate financings
- Experience advising institutional investors private equity funds REITs or financial institutions is strongly preferred
- Strong drafting analytical and organizational skills
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of the business of real estate investing
- Qualified to practice law in Ontario (or eligible for admission)
