Coordinate and participate in the Neurodiagnostic testing of adult adolescent pediatric and infant using specialized equipment as directed by the physicians instructions. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span possess the ability to assess testing data reflective of the patients status and provide feedback to the interpreting neurologists. Patient interactions are conducted according to the Augusta Way and in an age specific manner. Follow the testing procedures as described in the units departmental policies and procedures. Reports to the Director of Respiratory Services and receives input from the Charge Therapist.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital setting serving the needs of inpatients and outpatients in any capacity. Prior testing experience in EEG or a Sleep Lab setting will be beneficial. Will be willing to train a motivated candidate with patient centered values.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates of Applied Sciences or Bachelor of Science degree in a healthcare discipline may be useful.
- Prior testing experience in EEG or a Sleep Lab setting will be beneficial. Will be willing to train a motivated candidate with patient centered values.
Credentials:
- BLS Certification is required.
- Registered EEG Technologist credential administered by the American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoke Potential Technologists (ABRET).
Skills:
- EEG Lab procedures and equipment specific competencies as required.
