Job Summary

Job Title: Local Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Elmhurst New York
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Shift: Day Shift 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Schedule: Alternating weekends and holidays required

Compensation

Local Pay Rate: $60/hour

Position Summary

A leading healthcare facility in Elmhurst NY is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week local contract assignment. The technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures for adult and pediatric patients including general and vascular studies in a fast-paced acute care environment.

This role includes a two-week training period (9:00 AM 5:00 PM) including EPIC EMR training.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general ultrasound examinations for adult and pediatric patients
Conduct vascular ultrasound studies
Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate documentation
Utilize EPIC EMR for charting and reporting
Maintain patient safety privacy and infection control standards
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
Provide compassionate care in an acute care setting

Required Qualifications

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS) Required
Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist training program
Minimum 1 year of general registered ultrasound experience
Experience in an acute care setting Required
Strong skills in adult pediatric and vascular ultrasound
