The Communications Intern will work closely with the Communications Officer to support the Energy Sector teamparticularly the SHIFT project teamin enhancing project visibility stakeholder engagement and outreach addition the intern will provide communications support for SNV Vietnams broader organisation initiatives contributing approximately 20% of their time to activities such as content creation for internal and external channels event communications and general branding support.
By creating high-quality content maintaining consistent branding and leveraging communication channels the intern will help amplify project impacts support organisational visibility and promote sustainable energy practices in Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
Content creation & visuals
- Assist in drafting communication content for SHIFT and SNV Vietnam (e.g. social media posts articles blogs visual assets).
- Support visual design (infographics presentation slides simple layouts) and help manage the media library.
Event & campaign support
- Assist in preparing communication materials for events including banners flyers and handouts.
- Provide on-site or remote communication support during selected events and activities.
Digital & social media
- Help schedule publish and monitor content on SHIFT project and SNV Vietnam social media channels.
- Support basic website updates and simple reporting on digital engagement.
Stakeholder communication
- Support the drafting of newsletters partner updates and other stakeholder materials.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date contact lists and communication logs.
Coordination & admin tasks
- Assist in liaising with designers printers and service providers for communication outputs.
- Provide general support for team logistics file organisation and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications :
Education: Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Communications Media Journalism Public Relations or related fields.
Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills in both English and Vietnamese.
- Proficiency in using design and content creation tools (e.g. Canva Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Familiarity with social media management tools.
Experience: Prior experience in communication roles (e.g. internships freelance or volunteer work) is preferred but not required.
Others: Ability to work independently and in a team manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Passion for sustainable development climate and energy is a plus.
