AECOM is seeking an experienced BIM Lead to support hyperscale Data Center projects. The role involves close collaboration with AECOMs global BIM team serving as the client point of contact for model coordination file management and quality assurance. The ideal candidate excels in dynamic collaborative environments and is adept at managing evolving project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- BIM Model Development: Create and manage BIM models for MEP systems (HVAC piping plumbing electrical etc.) data center components and technical libraries to support design analysis fabrication and installation.
- BIM & CAD Standards Management: Maintain BIM/CAD data formats templates libraries and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance with project standards.
- Trade Coordination: Collaborate with contractors architects and engineers to facilitate coordination and clash detection across architectural structural and MEP disciplines.
- Production Documentation: Support the preparation of detailed construction drawings in alignment with design intent.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee BIM data integrity ensure adherence to client requirements and drive continuous improvement
- across digital workflows.
- Works under minimal direction.
- Responsible for providing leadership and direction of specific BIM technologies to assigned project teams.
- Develops technical solutions to wide range of difficult problems.
- Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
- Performs complex assignments involving the use of multiple application platforms and complex systems including Revit software to achieve set results and deadlines.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree plus 8 years of relevant experience in CAD/BIM drafting with at least 3 years of experience in BIM management for complex building types or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 Revit AutoCAD and Navisworks
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative problem solver with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Highly motivated detail-oriented and adaptable in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data Center experience preferred
- Familiarity with data center design criteria and industry standards
