Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Design Reviewer to support design and engineering activities by conducting technical reviews ensuring compliance with standards and contributing specialized expertise to design deliverables. This role supports the Design Manager by reviewing work products coordinating with discipline leads and helping maintain technical consistency across assigned design packages.

The Design Reviewer provides focused technical oversight not full programlevel management while ensuring that design outputs meet quality accuracy and constructability expectations.

Responsibility include but are not limited to:

  • Perform detailed technical reviews of design deliverables including drawings specifications calculations and reports.
  • Provide specialized technical input within their discipline to support studies analyses and design development.
  • Identify design issues inconsistencies and risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support quality control reviews to ensure compliance with program standards codes and engineering best practices.
  • Coordinate with design teams to clarify requirements resolve technical questions and support interdisciplinary alignment.
  • Assist in preparing technical sections of proposals design scopes and engineering estimates.
  • Present technical findings and review comments to design teams and stakeholders.
  • Support the Design Manager by tracking review progress documenting comments and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design review processes templates and workflows.
  • Maintain organized records of review comments decisions and approvals.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in civil geotechnical electrical and/or structural engineering construction management or related field plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • US citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience reviewing design deliverables on large federal or infrastructure programs.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design standards codes and quality control practices.
  • Ability to evaluate complex technical information and provide clear actionable feedback.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with design software document review tools and engineering workflows.

Additional Information :

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of an enhanced background investigation which may include but is not limited to verification of employment and education a criminal history review drug screening and a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check as applicable.
