We are seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team. This role will involve leading structural design efforts for industrial facility projects supporting capital improvements and ensuring engineering excellence across multiple initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural engineering design project execution and industrial infrastructure along with a strong focus on safety quality and innovation.

Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

Job Description:

The Senior Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions for industrial and facility-related projects. This Senior Structural Design Engineer role focuses on designing analyzing and optimizing structural systems including steel concrete and foundations.

As a Senior Structural Design Engineer you will independently execute engineering assignments ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. The Senior Structural Design Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support capital expenditure (Capex) projects and facility improvements.

This Senior Structural Design Engineer position requires strong technical expertise problem-solving capabilities and the ability to manage complex engineering challenges while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan schedule and coordinate structural engineering activities for projects (10 years experience)
Design and analyze steel concrete and foundation systems (10 years experience)
Execute detailed structural design and engineering calculations (10 years experience)
Address complex design challenges including conflicting requirements and material constraints (8 10 years experience)
Review project progress and provide updates to stakeholders and management (8 10 years experience)
Recommend improvements to engineering procedures and design practices (8 10 years experience)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for project execution (8 10 years experience)
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians (5 8 years experience)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong expertise in structural design for industrial projects (10 years)
In-depth knowledge of steel and concrete structures (10 years)
Experience in foundation design and analysis (10 years)
Familiarity with masonry and wood design principles (5 8 years preferred)
Ability to independently manage and execute engineering assignments
Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report preparation
Experience coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams

Education:

Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering Agricultural Engineering Architectural Engineering or related field
Master s Degree preferred (may substitute for 1 year of experience)

Licensure:

Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Structural Engineering (SE) license preferred or equivalent state certification

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits and project needs
