Red Wing Shoes is seeking a Director of Key Accounts to join our North America Wholesale Department. This role is accountable for leading and expanding Red Wings most strategic wholesale partnerships. This position serves as responsible for longterm growth planning sellin/sellthrough performance and crossfunctional alignment. The Director will drive strategy across the wholesale channels ensuring Red Wings brand presence and profitability goals are achieved. This leader oversees and develops a team of Key Account Managers overseeing effective execution of the strategies in the field and attainment of revenue and profitability goals.
Essential Duties include:
Provide insights on the needs of the business to the Managing Director of North America Wholesale and participates in the development of sales strategies for the North America wholesale team in support of corporate strategies
Directs and manages the process to acquire new key accounts and grow existing business in order to drive revenue and ensure customer satisfaction
Work cross functionally to deploy and enable adoption of processes tools and training in support of Wholesale strategies; ensures sales team is leveraging sales methodology and effectively manage sales pipeline
Collaborate with Product Creation and Marketing in the development of product and marketing in support of wholesale strategies
Leverage insights and analytics provided by Revenue Operations to determine appropriate resource deployment pipeline management team and program effectiveness and future strategy development
Achieve financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Manage and grow existing account relationships to drive expansion and renewals
Expand account base by successfully moving new opportunities through sales pipeline
Manage assigned staff: provide clear goals and expectations; ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities; coach; manage performance; develop; salary administration; enforce systems policies and procedures; recruit select and onboard new employees
Qualifications :
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in sales marketing business or a related field and a minimum 7 to 10 years of sales management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required experience includes selling to key accounts in a Wholesale sales environment; Experience creating and implementing successful sales initiatives and plans; Experience with leveraging CRM software such as to profitably manage sales pipeline; Experience with effectively leading sales teams in a highly networked organization preferred.
Experience in selling premium footwear/workwear is preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong ability to get results through influence and collaboration with organizational partners
Ability to consistently and effectively leverage a dynamic sales process resulting in increased revenue and profitability including prospecting developing opportunities closing new business onboarding accounts and growing existing accounts
Effectively manage a sales pipeline to achieve sales goals and defined KPIs
Strong financial and business acumen; understands the dynamics of the business and the business strategy
Strong communication and analytical skills required including the ability to interpret and articulate business needs and challenges and formulate pragmatic effective recommendations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook
Work Environment:
Home-based office with frequent travel to customer environments (approximately 50%). Frequent business travel to Red Wing MN headquarters for intentional Moments that Matter and business needs.
