Job Summary

At Novotel Coventry we are passionate about delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests. We are currently looking for a Chef to join our kitchen team and help ensure every breakfast lunch dinner or snack is prepared and served to the highest standard.
The Role
As a Chef you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality food in line with brand standards while maintaining excellent levels of food safety consistency and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver breakfast lunch dinner and snack menus to agreed standards.
Ensure all food preparation and service meets the specifications set by the Head Chef and management.
Maintain strict food safety hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
Prepare orders accurately in line with recipes instructions and checks.
Adhere to portion control procedures and report any wastage to the senior chef on duty.
Ensure correct storage of food items following company policies on stock rotation segregation and day-dotting.
Complete daily temperature checks for fridges and freezers as required.
Receive check and store deliveries correctly within designated timeframes.
Maintain clear communication with front-of-house and other hotel departments during service.
Report any maintenance issues equipment faults or accidents immediately.
About You
Previous experience as a Chef in a hotel restaurant or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of food hygiene health & safety regulations.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable punctual and professional.
