Job Summary
I am currently working with an audiology vacancy for a domiciliary Audiologist supporting patients with hearing needs in the comfort of their own homes as well as in selected clinical settings and in support of NHS services where required.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient-centred audiological care while working autonomously with strong clinical and logistical support in place.
Clinical Responsibilities
Manage a daily caseload of adults with hearing loss.
Conduct audiological assessments including Pure Tone Audiometry (with masking) and testing for non-organic and noise-induced hearing loss.
Take aural impressions and select appropriate ear moulds.
Select programme and fit hearing instruments.
Provide structured patient-centred aftercare to maximise outcomes and satisfaction.
Use subjective and objective outcome measures including Real Ear Measurements to verify fittings.
Maintain and calibrate equipment as required.
Provide ear care and wax removal (training provided if required).
Follow infection control best practice and commit to ongoing professional development.
Professional Responsibilities
Meet HCPC registration requirements as a Hearing Aid Dispenser (training provided where required).
Maintain CPD in line with HCPC standards.
Practise within professional boundaries reflecting on performance and seeking advice when appropriate.
Contribute effectively within a clinical team.
Comply with clinical governance infection control health & safety and risk management policies.
Skills & Experience
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Confident using digital systems with excellent attention to detail.
Minimum two years driving experience and comfortable travelling to multiple locations.
Calm under pressure with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Works within own clinical competence and limitations.
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary up to 40000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
