Ramboll invite you to apply for a Project Management Apprentice position in our Project Management team assisting the team in delivering a wide range of projects.
We offer two Apprenticeship pathways:
1) If you hold A Levels or a Level 3 qualification we can support you by enrolling you on the HNC in Construction & the Built Environment course where teaching is by formal lecture supported by laboratory work materials testing surveying fieldwork field trips site visits drawing and design work.
2) If you already hold a relevant HNC/HND you will be provided full support to achieve a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship qualification typically on a day release basis and create a solid foundation for a long and successful career. This apprenticeship will start in September 2026. Study options can be discussed at Assessment Centre

You will join our Project Management department
You will be managing delivery of cutting-edge Engineering and Construction projects around the world. Our Chester office currently works in every continent regularly for example in Cyprus Belize Falkland Islands and Antarctica You will be working on projects taking charge of time cost and quality. You will make a real impact while surrounded by a team of passionate and highly qualified experts to help you learn in a supportive environment.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Support the delivery of projects from inception to completion to budget time and quality ensuring that scope contracts programmes change management risk registers budgets and QA procedures are all in place and maintained through the life of a project
- Assist in managing the design process through design workshops and leading project meetings
- Communicate with and represent the Clients interest and provide a professional and cost-effective service that meets the Stakeholders expectations
- Management of sub-consultants as the project requires typically this may be quantity surveyors architects or specialist designers
- Support day-to-day management of all project activity including Monthly Reports Minutes and (MS Project) Programmes and delivery of presentations when required
- Ensuring coordinated and high-quality deliverables and outputs from our multidisciplinary teams
- Developing safe sustainable and profitable solutions.

To enrol straight onto the L6 course you will also have
- Level 4 Construction Design and Build Technician Standard; TCIAT (Architectural Technician) status; HNC/HND in Construction and the Built Environment or equivalent qualifications and commensurate experience.
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:
- The ability to communicate clearly.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Strong technology ski
- Take personal responsibility for your work
- Keen willingness to learn and progress
