Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support students emotional social and psychological well-being.
- Identifying behavioural problems and acting appropriately to remedy the situation.
- Paying attention to societal and cultural differences in all student matters.
- Implementing programs to support students personal social and emotional development and wellbeing.
- Provide immediate support to students in crisis and work with school leadership to ensure appropriate interventions.
- Develop and oversee peer support programs to encourage a supportive student community.
- Design and implement well-being programs and workshops for students.
- Work closely with teachers administrators and support staff to identify students needing well-being support.
- Provide support services to parents/guardians as needed.
- In collaboration with teachers and parents help students establish goals and develop and use planning skills.
- Refer students and families to external support services when necessary.
- Proficiently use technology to communicate compile reports and collect data ensuring all notes and data are stored in the appropriate folders.
- Providing regular updated reports to Campus Principals; at least once a month.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelors degree in psychology guidance and counseling or another relevant discipline.
- Possesses minimal 5 (five) years work experience as a Wellbeing Counselor for Secondary Level in an International school setting.
COMPETENCIES & SOFT SKILLS
- Competent in teaching character development leadership and teamwork.
- Excellent English skills; written and oral.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work within a dynamic team.
- Working knowledge of modern and international counselling models methods and resources.
- Ability to identify and respond to students needs.
- Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
- Must be patient and compassionate.
- Prominent level of integrity.
