Were seeking someone to join our team as Pricing & Valuation Associate which is responsible for daily pricing and valuation oversight ensuring comprehensive compliance with the firms valuation policy and procedures. This role will be part of a team accountable for assisting management with developing and implementing controls related to Morgan Stanleys middle office Pricing & Valuation platform.

In the Operations division we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Senior Professional position at Associate level within the Core Service which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What youll do in the role:

• Serve as a subject matter expert within Pricing and Valuation working with Team Manager to manage processes risks and/or projects proposing and implementing improvements/changes
• Act as key problem solver for area of expertise applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations recognize risks and draw out key issues
• Coordinate work train and develop other team members where required including task allocation and project contributions
• Build and manage relationships with business unit partners other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments and external contact points in Client or Market organizations
• Develop a sound governance framework for middle office pricing utilizing the Aladdin platform.
• Ensuring comprehensive compliance with the firms valuation policy and risk control environment
• Addressing escalating and resolving valuation exceptions properly
• Monitoring and oversight of activities performed by the firms Pricing Team at third party service providers

What youll bring to the role:

• Ability to lead by example work with drive and determination and put forward challenging views to senior levels
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area of operational/compliance policies and procedures within the pricing and valuation team
• Ability to operate independently across a majority of day-to-day responsibilities
• Culture carrier across Operations embracing the Firms core values and acting as a role model.
• A strong understanding of the institutional investment management industry and valuation knowledge across all equity fixed income derivative fund and currency investment instruments
• Knowledge of global pricing and valuation regulatory environment and industry trends
• At least 4 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
