Job Summary
The Director of Catering at Hilton Mystic will lead and oversee all catering operations to ensure exceptional event experiences for our guests. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can manage a dynamic team coordinate with multiple departments and deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about selling and creating memorable events while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement catering strategies to meet both individual sales goals and business goals while exceeding client expectations.
- Manage all aspects of catering sales planning and execution for events ranging from small meetings to large-scale celebrations.
- Collaborate with the sales culinary and operations teams to create customized catering packages.
- Lead and motivate the service team assisting in training and support to ensure high service standards.
- Oversee budgeting pricing and financial performance of the catering department.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to foster repeat business and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and Hilton brand standards.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in catering management preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
- Proven track record of driving sales and successful event execution.
- Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in catering and event management software is a plus.
