About the role

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological assessment formulation and evidence-based interventions for older adults experiencing complex mental health conditions and comorbid health issues.

  • Develop and implement individualised recovery-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with consumers carers and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Administer and interpret psychological and functional assessments utilising standardised outcome measures to guide care planning and monitor treatment effectiveness.

  • Provide specialist psychological input to multidisciplinary case reviews and provide consultation and liaison to RACFs inpatient services GPs and community providers

  • Support families and carers through psychoeducation collaborative formulation and therapeutic guidance to enhance care outcomes.

  • Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and actively participate in supervision professional development and service improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in short-term case management for a defined caseload of consumers with complex psychological needs.

About you

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology (Masters or Doctorate) with general registration and endorsement (or eligibility for endorsement) with the Psychology Board of Australia and a current unrestricted NSW Drivers License.

  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering evidence-based psychological interventions including CBT DBT Schema Therapy and ACT with experience working in older peoples mental health or complex presentations.

  • Strong clinical assessment formulation and treatment planning skills underpinned by the effective integration of theoretical knowledge critical thinking and sound clinical judgement.

  • Ability to work autonomously with accountability while also contributing effectively as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team across diverse clinical settings.

  • A consumer-centred recovery-oriented approach with a genuine commitment to partnering with consumers carers and families in care planning and treatment.
