Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Educator you will be a vital contributor to the planning coordination and delivery of essential healthcare-related educational and training programs.
Every day you will actively assist in scheduling and conducting diverse healthcare training programs. You will also provide direct coordination and/or instruction in various educational initiatives ensuring effective learning experiences for all participants.
To be successful in this role you will combine strong organizational and presentation skills with a deep understanding of healthcare education a passion for teaching and the ability to effectively engage and train diverse groups of healthcare professionals and staff.
- Utilizes aggregate data research and trends when developing education programs and/or assessing the effectiveness of documentation for area of specialty.
- Provides timely feedback to providers regarding documentation opportunities for improvement and successes.
- Coordinates and conducts regular meeting with HIM Coding Professionals to monitor retrospective query rate and address issues.
- Actively engages Case Management and RAC committee to continually evaluate and spearhead documentation improvement opportunities to reduce denials and support medical necessity.
- Conducts monthly communication with providers/leadership regarding documentation trends that need further documentation specificity.
- Participates in creation implementation and evaluation of provider documentation.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM
- Bachelors of Science
- 1-3 years clinical coding documentation experience
- Registered Nurse: AZ
PREFERRED
- Masters of Nursing
- Nursing experience in specialty area
