JOB SUMMARY

The Manager Talent Acquisition will lead and execute recruitment strategies to attract engage and hire top talent for At Home. This role requires a dynamic results-driven professional with experience in managing a full-cycle recruitment process building strong partnerships with business leaders and driving continuous improvement in talent acquisition practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the retail industry and be passionate about aligning talent with business goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Talent Acquisition Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies that align with the companys business objectives for the retail home office distribution centers and stores.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to understand workforce needs and anticipate hiring demands.

Recruitment Process Management:

  • Oversee full recruitment lifecycle including sourcing screening interviewing and hiring across all levels and functions within the organization.
  • Ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience from application through onboarding.
  • Identify attract and hire top talent for various functions within our retail organization
  • Proactively source and engage with potential candidates through various channels including job boards social media professional networks and employee referrals.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process from initial contact to onboarding.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates and hiring managers providing timely updates and feedback.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead mentor and develop a team of recruiters and talent acquisition specialists ensuring they have the resources and support needed to achieve recruitment goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Stakeholder Partnership:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including HR business partners hiring managers and external recruitment agencies.
  • Provide guidance and training to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing and candidate selection.

Employer Branding:

  • Champion the companys employer brand by developing and promoting initiatives that position the organization as an employer of choice in the retail industry.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to create compelling recruitment marketing materials.

Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI):

  • Drive diversity equity and inclusion efforts within the talent acquisition process ensuring diverse talent pools are sourced and that hiring practices are equitable.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize data and analytics to monitor recruitment performance identify trends and make informed decisions to optimize the talent acquisition process.
  • Report on key metrics including time-to-fill cost-per-hire and quality of hire to senior leadership.

Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends best practices and innovative recruitment technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field. A Masters degree or HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP PHR) is a plus.

  • 5 years of experience in talent acquisition with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience recruiting across a variety of functions including corporate distribution and retail.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies.

  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • A proactive and strategic thinker with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Passionate about people and committed to driving DEI initiatives.
