Machinist I
Purpose: The role of a Machinist I is to operate a wide variety of machinery to fabricate new machine components/mechanical dispositive and to repair broken mechanical parts. A key function is to provide support for producing raw parts used by production as well as making modifications to products requested by customers. This is a 1st shift position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Machining team with essential maintenance repair and upkeep of operational machines (CNC mills Manual Mills Lathes and others)
Utilize drawings blueprints or rough sketches to create parts fixtures and other mechanical devices to aid production process
Assist engineers in resolving problems completing work assignments.
Ensure that all machinery is configured correctly to ensure proper production specifications
Maintain logs lists files etc. and complete required paperwork.
Perform other related tasks including but not limited to performing housekeeping tasks maintains 5S standards and supports continuous improvement activities as required to keep the work area safe clean and organized.
Perform other related duties as required by management.

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalency required
Trade school certification preferred
Work Experience Requirements:
1 year of relevant experience in a machine shop environment required
Welding experience is preferred
Other Attributes:
Ability to utilize a variety of shop tools with proficiency
Ability to read blueprints sketches drafts to determine part conformance
Proficiency in both metric and imperial measuring systems
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move bend and stoop unassisted to complete work duties
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted

Disclosure as required by applicable law the hourly rate for this position ranges from $17.56-$24.93. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location work experience education and skill level. The hourly rate is CONMEDs good faith belief at the time of this posting.
