Job Summary
We are currently looking to hire anExperienced Veterinary Technicianto join our team at Animal Emergency Hospital of Gainesville in Gainesville Georgia!
Location: 275 Pearl Nix Pkwy #3 Gainesville GA 30501
Salary: $18-25 per hour depending on licensure and experience
Schedule: Full time. Overnights weekends and holidays are required
Who We Are:
Animal Emergency Hospital of Gainesville provides urgent and critical care to pets in the Gainesville GA community. Our collaborative teaching-focused team works in a fast-paced ER environment with a steady caseload.
Technicians here play a hands-on role in triage stabilization anesthesia and advanced diagnostics supported by strong staffing ratios (24 techs per DVM) and modern equipment including in-house IDEXX labs digital radiography and ultrasound.

Who You Are:
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Georgia is strongly preferred
- 2 years of veterinary clinical experience as a veterinary technician or assistant
- Prior emergency and critical care experience a plus
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
- Skilled in phlebotomy IV catheter placement applying casts bandages and splints
- Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation monitoring pre-operative and post-operative care
- Confident with medical math and drug calculations
- Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
- Diagnostic experience including digital radiology and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
- And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
