Join theAlternate Solutions Group(ASG) as aSummerAnalyst and make a real difference for our clients.Within CIBCCapital Markets ASG was launched in 2013 with a mandate to develop innovative and creative technology-driven capitalmarketssolutions. This group is an unconventional capital markets organization that combines the innovative spirit and agility of a FinTech startup with the financial strength and strong governance protocol of a major financial institution. Youllbe part of the team that focuses on understanding the FinTech industry & disruptive technologies that are revolutionizing traditional banking products and services with a particular focus on FX & payments.Youllhave an opportunity to support the ASG team with product developmentand growthalong with sales and marketing acrossa number ofclient types including financial institutions public sector clients corporateshighereducationinstitutionssmall businessesand CIBCs retail branch network.

Youmay alsohave the opportunity towork with ASG leadership to increaseProfit and Loss (PnL)and productivity and be measured on your ability to both expand product capability distribution and growPnL.You will be assigned to a product team where you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our leaders. Your role will involvepresenting insights from dataanalysisdeveloping effective solutions withtimelyexecution as well as continuouslymonitoringand analyzing market activities and economic factors throughout the day to respond promptly to client requests.

The expected annualized base salary for this role is $95000.

The base salary isdeterminedby a variety of factors including the candidates skills experience and job-related knowledge as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Commerce Economics STEM (Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics) or related program at the time of the internship with a graduation date no earlier than December 2027.

You havedemonstratedinterest in Capital Markets.Youvebuilt a strong knowledge of Capital Markets FinTech and the financial services industries which allows you to analyze complex issues and identify & develop innovative opportunities with a focus on FX & payments.

You give meaning to data.You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information.Youreconfident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.You have strong mathematicalanalyticaland problem-solving skills.

Youredigitally savvy.You are proficient in MS-office suite of tools (Word PowerPoint Excel etc.) andare able touse them for financial modelingpresentationsand technical project documentation.Proficiencywith MS Power BI is an asset.

You are comfortable communicating fluently in English and Spanish.You are able to effectively synthesize and present analyses and recommendations to senior executives.You can create effective client-facing materials in both languages including RFPs pitchbooks presentation decks etc.
