Job Summary
We are working with a historic and highly academic independent school in Tower Hamlets to recruit an English Teacher for a permanent full-time position. Starting this March the successful candidate will join a department that prizes literary analysis creative writing and the development of a sophisticated critical voice.

The Role The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4. The curriculum is knowledge-rich focusing on a broad range of texts from the Western canon to contemporary global literature. The school is looking for a practitioner who can lead high-level seminars and foster a genuine passion for reading and debate among highly motivated students.
Requirements
QTS and a strong academic background in English Literature.
The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship; candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
A commitment to participating in the schools vibrant extra-curricular debating and literary societies.
Salary M1 UPS3 () per annum.
