The Role
Leading and managing the Science department across KS2 KS3 KS4 and KS5 (where applicable)
Driving high standards of teaching learning and assessment across all science disciplines
Supporting and developing staff through coaching mentoring and performance management
Overseeing curriculum planning sequencing and exam performance
Managing departmental resources budgets and health & safety compliance
Contributing to whole-school leadership and strategic development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in a Science subject or closely related field
Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level
Previous leadership experience within a Science department or readiness to step into a Head of Department role
A strong track record of improving outcomes and raising standards
Excellent organisational communication and leadership skills
