Job Summary

The main purpose ofthis role isto ensure that maintenance activities are effectively organized and executed to maximize the reliability availability and performance of equipment and facilities.


Required Skills:

Maintenance Planning

  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime andoptimizeresourceutilization.
  • Ensure availability of tools materials and personnel for maintenance tasks.
  • Implement preventive maintenance strategies to reduce equipment failures and extend asset lifespan.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities based on operational needs and equipment criticality.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure maintenance practicescomply withsafety regulations and industry standards
  • Assistmaintenance manager with departmental health and safety compliance
  • Ensure all contractor safety files are in order and up to date.

Work Order Management

  • Create issue and track work orders for maintenance tasks
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time.

Resource Allocation

  • Allocate personnel tools and materials for maintenance tasks.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyse maintenance data toidentifytrends and improvement areas.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance activities including performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Compile breakdown reports and investigations.
  • Report daily maintenance activities and progress to stakeholders and maintenance manager.

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate with stakeholders to align maintenance priorities with business goals.
  • Plan and communicate with contractors for scheduled maintenance

Record Keeping & System Updates

  • Maintainaccuraterecords of maintenance activities inspections and repairs
  • Update maintenance management systems with relevant information

Health and Safety

  • Participate in safety forums created bySOILLfor example safety meetings and safety talks
  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes
  • Comply withsafety policies and procedures atSOILL
  • Distribute safety information as and whenrequired
  • Always wear protective clothing (where applicable)
