Job Summary

The main purpose ofthis role isto ensure that maintenance activities are effectively organized and executed to maximize the reliability availability and performance of equipment and facilities.

Required Skills:

Maintenance Planning

Develop and manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime andoptimizeresourceutilization.
Ensure availability of tools materials and personnel for maintenance tasks.
Implement preventive maintenance strategies to reduce equipment failures and extend asset lifespan.
Prioritize maintenance activities based on operational needs and equipment criticality.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure maintenance practicescomply withsafety regulations and industry standards
Assistmaintenance manager with departmental health and safety compliance
Ensure all contractor safety files are in order and up to date.

Work Order Management

Create issue and track work orders for maintenance tasks
Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time.

Resource Allocation

Allocate personnel tools and materials for maintenance tasks.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyse maintenance data toidentifytrends and improvement areas.
Prepare reports on maintenance activities including performance metrics and KPIs.
Compile breakdown reports and investigations.
Report daily maintenance activities and progress to stakeholders and maintenance manager.

Communication & Coordination

Communicate with stakeholders to align maintenance priorities with business goals.
Plan and communicate with contractors for scheduled maintenance

Record Keeping & System Updates

Maintainaccuraterecords of maintenance activities inspections and repairs
Update maintenance management systems with relevant information

Health and Safety

Participate in safety forums created bySOILLfor example safety meetings and safety talks
Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
Attend safety education and refresher programmes
Comply withsafety policies and procedures atSOILL
Distribute safety information as and whenrequired
Always wear protective clothing (where applicable)
