Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Shift: 1st Shift MondayFriday
Pay: $20-23/hour
Location: Charlotte NC 28216
Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating the daily receipt distribution organization and shipment of materials within an office warehouse environment. This role serves as the primary point of contact for shipping and mail services supporting both domestic and international shipments while ensuring efficient accurate operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and sort daily mail deliveries into designated mail lockers
Pack and prepare outgoing shipments including weighing labeling postage application and staging
Track shipments and resolve issues involving damaged or misdirected packages
Manage postal equipment (meters scales mail machines material handling equipment)
Oversee mail management functions including mass mailings address verification and returns
Maintain inventory of supplies; manage costs and restock materials as needed
Provide reprographics services including large-format printing lamination mounting and CD duplication
Replenish postage meters and track usage data for monthly reporting
Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to support service requests
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Entry-level experience; prior shipping mailroom or warehouse experience preferred
Ability to read and follow safety policies procedures and work instructions
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing walking and computer use in an office environment
Regular movement throughout the facility
Occasional kneeling crouching and lifting up to 50 lbs
Ability to operate a pallet jack
May require PPE when supporting construction-related areas
