Role Overview
The Tooling Engineer will be responsible for sourcing and deploying new or upgraded tooling required to achieve throughput targets. This role involves working closely with local engineers and design teams to ensure that target results are achieved efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Source and deploy new or upgraded tooling to meet throughput targets.
Collaborate with local engineers and design teams to ensure tooling meets project requirements.
Manage tooling implementation from concept to validation.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during tooling deployment.
Monitor and validate tooling performance against defined targets.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in automotive or trucking environments.
Proven record of tooling design and implementation.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues promptly.
Education Criteria
All engineers must hold a 4-year engineering degree in their respective discipline.
Preferred Skills
Experience in advanced tooling technologies and automation.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with CAD tools
