Job Summary
AI Engineer - Hybrid in either Dallas or Houston TX (3x/wk)
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer with deep expertise in building deploying and optimizing AI/ML solutions within the Azure ecosystem while also collaborating on the integration of AI capabilities into Angular-based applications. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on technical execution and strategic problem-solving working across data engineering model development and front-end integration.
The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging AI to drive business outcomes has strong cloud-native architecture experience and thrives in cross-functional environments.
Key Responsibilities
AI/ML Solution Development
o Design develop and deploy AI/ML models using Azure Machine Learning Cognitive Services and Azure OpenAI.
o Build scalable production-ready pipelines for model training testing and deployment.
o Fine-tune and optimize large language models and other advanced ML architectures.
Application Integration
o Collaborate with front-end engineers to integrate AI models into Angular web applications.
o Develop APIs services and SDKs for seamless AI integration across enterprise apps.
o Ensure low-latency high-availability delivery of AI-powered features.
Cloud Architecture & Engineering
o Design end-to-end solutions using Azure services (Azure ML Data Factory Synapse Cognitive Services Functions AKS etc.).
o Optimize AI workloads for performance cost-efficiency and security.
o Implement monitoring logging and governance practices for production AI systems.
Leadership & Collaboration
o Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in AI solution design.
o Partner with product managers data scientists and business stakeholders to define AI use cases.
o Stay current with AI/ML and front-end technologies driving innovation within the team.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
o Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Science Engineering or related field.
o 5 8 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering and software development.
Technical Skills
o Strong expertise in Azure Machine Learning Azure OpenAI Cognitive Services Synapse and Azure DevOps.
o Proficiency in Python (for ML/AI development) and TypeScript/Angular (for application integration).
o Experience with RESTful APIs microservices and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes/AKS).
o Strong foundation in data pipelines SQL/NoSQL databases and ETL workflows.
o Familiarity with Generative AI LLM fine-tuning and prompt engineering is a strong plus.
Soft Skills
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
o Ability to translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions.
o Leadership experience in guiding technical teams and projects.
