We are seeking a Business Analyst / ScrumMaster to join our team. This role will involve gathering and documenting business requirements facilitating Agile ceremonies managing project backlogs and serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in Agile methodologies business process analysis Azure DevOps (or similar tools) and requirements documentation along with a passion for delivering high-quality IT solutions within structured governance environments.

Job Title: Business Analyst / ScrumMaster

Location: Lansing MI 48933 (Hybrid On-site Tuesday/Wednesday; First month 5 days onsite)

Duration: 1 Year Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion in 1 2 Years)

Job Description:

This position requires on-site work every Tuesday and Wednesday (8 hours per day no exceptions). The first month will require 5 days per week onsite for onboarding. Candidates should reside within one hour of Lansing MI.

The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering analyzing and documenting clear unambiguous and testable business requirements. This role also serves as the ScrumMaster with heavy usage of Azure DevOps (or similar tools) and collaborates closely with the Project Management Office to ensure proper documentation and deliverables alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and document business requirements in alignment with established policies standards and templates.
Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders and project teams.
Develop and maintain the Agile project backlog; create epics features and user stories.
Partner with Product Owners to prioritize work throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze as-is and to-be processes data flows and system impacts.
Ensure alignment with project scope and governance requirements.
Provide input into Build vs. Buy decisions.
Support resolution of critical IT issues related to business analysis activities.
Complete and manage required project deliverables in alignment with System Engineering Methodology (SEM) standards.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers solution architects DBAs developers and QA teams to ensure clarity and scalability of solutions.

Required Skills & Experience (within last 5 years):

3 years of Business Analyst experience
3 years of Quality Assurance knowledge
3 years of experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools (JIRA etc.)
Strong understanding of BA QA and Development roles/responsibilities
Experience with as-is/to-be process documentation and content creation
Experience creating product roadmaps
Familiarity with Agile and other Project Management methodologies
Proficiency with BA tools such as Figma and Visio

Additional Requirement:
