Job Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a vital member of the healthcare team responsible for performing both clinical and administrative tasks to support efficient and high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties:

Prepare patients for exams and procedures by taking vital signs and documenting medical history.

Assist healthcare providers with examinations.

Collect and prepare laboratory specimens perform basic lab tests and administer medications or injections as directed.

Conduct EKGs wound care and other diagnostic procedures within scope of practice.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.

Ensure infection control and sterilization protocols are followed.
Administrative Duties:

Greet patients schedule appointments and manage patient flow.

Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).

Handle insurance verifications billing and coding support as needed.

Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism.
Qualifications: -
High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Current certification (CMA RMA or equivalent) required.
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Proficient in medical terminology clinical procedures and EHR systems.

Strong communication organizational and multitasking skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment.
