E-Logic is seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to support the Maryland Judiciary in a mission-critical environment. The successful candidate will help design implement and secure enterprise network systems while ensuring compliance with government security standards. This role will be hybrid with 2 days remotes and 3 days on site at the Maryland Judiciary Information Systems 189 Harry S Truman Parkway Annapolis MD 21401.
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain secure enterprise network and security solutions
- Engineer and support next-generation firewall technologies and secure network architectures
- Analyze security requirements and recommend scalable resilient solutions
- Perform network security assessments troubleshooting and incident remediation
- Support firewall policies VPNs intrusion prevention content filtering and SSL/TLS inspection
- Develop and maintain technical documentation network diagrams and implementation plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
- Lead or support migrations from legacy security platforms to modern technologies
- Participate in change management configuration standards and operational procedures
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Prepare status updates and participate in project and technical meetings
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field
- Active networking and security certifications such as:
- Palo Alto Networks (PCNSA or equivalent)
- Cisco CCNA (Enterprise or Security)
- Strong experience in enterprise networking and security engineering
- Ability to work independently in secure regulated environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:Next-generation firewalls and intrusion prevention
- VPN technologies and secure remote access
- Network access control (NAC) MFA and identity services
- Routing and switching protocols (OSPF BGP EIGRP)
- Load balancing and reverse proxy technologies
- Vulnerability assessment and remediation tools
- PKI and certificate management
- Cloud-based networking and security services
